There's No Shame in What You Want
There’s no shame in what you want. That sounds incredibly simple, but I think it exposes a part of manifestation that we rarely talk about. Before you visualize your desire, affirm for it, live in the end, change your self-concept, or attempt an identity shift, you first have to be honest about what you actually want. And being honest is different from having a vague idea of your dream life.
You might already know that you want more money, a beautiful home, a particular car, greater success, freedom, or an extraordinary lifestyle. But pay attention to what happens immediately after admitting it. Do you soften the desire? Do you make it more reasonable? Do you worry that wanting too much sounds greedy or materialistic? Do you immediately explain how your success would benefit your family or allow you to help other people? Those things may genuinely matter to you, but there's a deeper question underneath them: Can you want something simply because you want it?
That's where there’s no shame in what you want becomes more than a motivational statement. If you're constantly negotiating with your own desires, you may be sitting on the fence before manifestation even begins. Maybe the first step isn't another technique at all. Maybe it's removing everyone else's expectations for a moment and asking yourself one brutally direct question: If nobody could judge me, criticize me, or tell me what I should want, what would I actually choose for my life?
