If Your Life Keeps Getting Worse

This Is How You Get Through It

If your life keeps getting worse, your natural reaction is probably to try harder to make it better. You look for another solution, make another plan, work longer, change your approach, or search for the one thing you haven't tried yet. That's how most of us have learned to deal with problems: something goes wrong, we find a way to fix it. But there are seasons when that familiar pattern seems to stop working. One problem turns into another, the solution you thought would finally create some relief doesn't, and eventually you start wondering how much longer you're supposed to keep fighting circumstances that refuse to change.

If your life keeps getting worse despite everything you're doing to turn it around, at what point do you begin questioning whether the way you're approaching the situation is actually helping?

That experience becomes especially challenging when you're also practicing manifestation or the Law of Assumption. You're attempting to believe in a different outcome while the physical evidence in front of you appears to be moving in the opposite direction. You're told not to allow circumstances to control your state, but what does that actually look like when those circumstances are serious, immediate, and impossible to ignore? It's easy to talk about persistence, faith, identity, and believing in an unseen outcome when life gives you room to breathe. It's something entirely different when you're living through setback after setback and have no idea when things are finally going to change.

So if your life keeps getting worse, how do you actually get through it without knowing when—or even how—the situation is going to turn around? There may come a point when the usual advice about staying positive, trying harder, or finding another solution no longer feels like enough. And if you're currently at that point, there is something about getting through these periods that I think we need to talk about—because the answer may challenge the way you've been approaching difficult circumstances in the first place.
